In the aftermath of my grand daughter's murder in March of 1997, it became apparent to me that there were children's issues that were being tragically overlooked. As a nurse for over 27 years it was my job to care, protect and treat families and individuals that were in crisis. Little did I know that not only my personal but professional goals would change so dramatically.
