Description

Joel is an award winning professional illustrator who has been working in the industry since the '80's. He has also owned and operated a picture frame shop and web design firm as well. The most exciting job he was ever involved in was the hunt for the WW II Imperial Japanese submarine I-52. It was the deepest shipwreck salvage operation in the history of the world - a full mile deeper than Titanic!

Joel makes his home in an area known as The Palouse in eastern Washington State, on the edge of the rolling wheat fields that appear in some of his work. His wife is a full time homemaker, acting at times as a model, all the while managing the affairs of their century old Victorian farmstead and several children. Joel used to be a fireman, hence his many fire illustrations.
