Excerpted from the website:
- Among the memories of "how it was then" we recall the start of the "package" holiday, the "bargain break", bedrooms which did not have beverage trays and televisions. We also recall the way our coaches were taken on board cross-channel ferries, lifted on by crane - a very worrying experience and a far cry from the present day drive on drive off ferries and cross-channel trains on and under the channel. Kirbys were among a very few coaches to travel abroad in those days.
