Biography
My name is Jim Cowling. I was born in 1969 in Sandy Point, Nova Scotia. I lived in Victoria, British Columbia for most of my life, but now live in Vancouver, BC.
I'm the production/publishing supervisor for the Vancouver office of a major international engineering firm. I have a B.A. in Writing with a minor in Linguistics. And yet, I don't care if I make typos on my blog and won't usually bother to correct them.
I don't drive. I'm a staunch -- and perhaps strident -- atheist and I'm a Canadian patriot (if there is such a thing). I lean to the left socially and to the middle economically. That is, I support socialized medicine, Charter rights, social engineering through taxation and entrepreneurism.
