I only watched one soccer game (if you can call it that) and now I’m preparing to go to bed. That’s a marked improvement over the rest of the week.
And once again I should be asleep, but I just returned from watching Korea’s World Cup match against Togo at Gunsan’s very own 은파. I went with Jessica and Sheena and several of my middle school students. Korea ended up winning 2-1, much to the delight of the thousands of fans. It was crazy and I’m exhausted as this is my second late night in a row on this crazy schedule. Sheena took some pictures so I should have something to post sometime.
During a week when every minute of sleep counts. I stayed awake to watch America play. Can anyone explain to me how a team who controls the ball for 58% of the first half fails to set up more than one shot on goal and trails at the half by 2? There’s a reason I only watch this game every 4 years. It would make me tear out my hair if I watched it anymore than that.
