- Koret was founded in 1938 by Joseph and Stephanie Koret. In a small loft in San Francisco, the Korets designed and produced coordinating skirts and sweaters that were fashionable yet colorful and comfortable. Sales of their designs were so strong that they expanded their line to include coordinated collections: pants, skirts, woven shirts, knit tees, jackets and sweaters.
