The Beginnings: I've been messing with a personal site for 5+ years but never was officially Kriegsnet, the OLD ones used to be Jason's Site o' Fun (don't laugh). This site (kriegsnet) started off about maybe 3 years ago after I was tired of using Geocities. I wasn't sure of a site name, so, I thought of Kriegsnet. It was generic and if I got bored of making a personal site, I could use the name as a hosting company or something. But, to my surprise, the site got hits and I kept it going with many changes with each version.
Black/Pink Minimalism Layout: Why such minimalism on this layout? Simple. I wanted to convey a VERY clean, simple (even boring) layout this time around. The goal was to convert my entire site (and gallery) to full use of CSS for easy maintenance as well as the ease of changing future layouts. I wanted to return the focus of the site to the content. Ease of navigation is also a plus and one of my "trademarks", or so I hear. I wanted to keep this again with this layout, dividing the navigation for ease of use. All in all I'm very happy with this look, plus the ease of maintenance and change ability's that come with CSS.
