KTOO is a community licensed public television and radio organization with a statewide mission of public service and a reputation for leadership and innovation. KTOO is part of the AlaskaOne statewide public television service and also operates a statewide cable television service similar to C-Span, as well as a full-service production house. We operate from radio and television facilities in downtown Juneau, Alaska, the state capital and one of the most beautiful and scenic small cities in the country.
Using telecommunications, CCBI educates, enlightens, empowers and entertains with programs and services, and by active participation and community partnerships. CCBI does so fairly and responsively, recognizing diverse viewpoints and cultures.
KTOO is part of CoastAlaska, Inc., a regional support organization for five public broadcasting stations in Southeast Alaska. CoastAlaska provides a number of services to KTOO, including finance and accounting services. KTOO's financial statements are a part of CoastAlaska's.
