The Lafayette Grande Banquet Facility is located in the Downtown Pontiac Entertainment District in a historical landmark. Built in 1923 as the Masonic Temple Lodge No. 21 and refurbished by Traveling Chef Catering in 1997. The intricate craftsmanship of fine details has been restored to the original grandeur. The Lafayette Grande is registered with the U.S. Department of the Interior and the Michigan State Historical Preservation Offices. With the turn of the new century, Traveling Chef Catering has taken The Lafayette Grande to new heights by blending modernized facilities with old-world charm, now able to serve you in our building and surround you with its splendor.

Since 1977, Traveling Chef Catering has provided quality off-premise catering for a variety of events, both private and corporate in the Detroit Metro Area. We are one of the few caterers around who offers such an unlimited menu based on ideas and experiences from around the country. We are always generating new ideas, themes, and menus to make your party the topic of conversation for weeks to follow. Call us for your next event to explore the wide world of entertaining!

We invite you to tour our beautiful building! We have multiple halls to accommodate your needs. Every ballroom is unique and charismatic. The "Lafayette Room" will accommodate up to 200 guests. The elegant "Grande Ballroom" will accommodate up to 500 guests. The "Crystal Ballroom" will not only accommodate 230 guests, but will also take you back to days of the "Roaring Twenties!" With a "Speak Easy" atmosphere our "Martini Lounge" will accommodate parties of 75 or more if you know the password! The newest addition to the Lafayette Grande is the "Sunset Patio," also accommodating 75 or more guests.
