Our central belief is that there are clear links between the health of a community and the environment which that community inhabits.
A diverse range of individuals use the garden for many different reasons. For some it is simply a place to relax, for others it offers the chance to take risks by beginning to work with plants in their own gardens or balconies, trying new fresh produce or simply growing plants they haven't encountered before.
Use of the garden by local children has steadily increased. During the summer term 2002 we helped run three after school clubs for 5-11 year olds and one lunchtime club for children with emotional/behavioural difficulties.
