Deer Country Farm & Lawn was formed in September of 2004 when Ken Dietz, president of Landis Bros. Inc. and Erv Weaver, president of Adamstown Equipment decided to join forces and work together as a team. Landis Bros., in business since 1920, brought an Ag and a Lawn & Garden store from Lancaster and a Lawn and Garden store from Lebanon into the new business.
Adamstown Equipment, in business since 1959, provided an Ag and a Lawn & Garden store from the Adamstown area. The main focus of the merger was to better serve customers in the surrounding area by providing an increased level of service, a larger parts inventories, and access to more in-stock equipment.
It was with this goal in mind that Deer Country purchased the business of Lehigh Ag in September of 2005. Lehigh Ag was a John Deere dealer in Lehigh County with the full line of John Deere Lawn & Garden equipment and Agricultural equipment.
