Description
After several years in the education field, and later being involved in the tourism industry, we found the need for a program that combined the teaching of the Spanish language with the immersion in Latin American culture.
Our school was one of the first in Costa Rica to develop this type of program, which includes Spanish classes and cultural activities such as Latin Dance, Costa Rican Cooking, and educational trips. Since 1989 the Costa Rican Language Academy has been offering students an authentic cultural experience along with first rate Spanish instruction. Our school is completely owned and run by Costa Ricans, which ensures a true immersion in our culture.
CRLA has a permanent teaching staff of 20 instructors. During the high season our staff increases to 30 teachers in order to ensure small groups and personalized attention.
