LI Politics.com was formed to fill a need for accurate, detailed coverage of the active Long Island political scene. Often overshadowed by New York City and New York State politics, Long Island has been neglected for far too long. Mr. Manetta recognized this void and has been providing top-flight coverage of LI Politics since the summer of 2001

Since the site's launch Mr. Manetta has brought on Marty Schwartz, a former Political Party Leader and current investigative news reporter. Mr. Schwartz has added great value to the site with his political insider interviews and message board dialogue.
