I would tend to describe myself as an early-life crisis sufferer, so I decided to start this blog with the hopes that it move me closer to my pure passion in life--music. I'm currently living on the north side of Chicago with my very beautiful and supportive wife and one very rambuctious cat. I enjoy going to shows, listening to music, playing Mario Kart, and being a tech-geek. I tend to write about my personal day-to-day over at my other blog, melodytofunkytown.com (currently under construction). It's mainly a collection of funny links and photos that would only be interesting if you know me, so take that for whatever it is...
I've had a widely-varied taste in music for a lot of my life thus far. When I was younger, I relied on my older brothers to feed me with music for our house boombox. Grateful Dead, Phish, and House music is all I really remember from that period of my life. In my four years at high school, I really branched out and started listening to every kind of music (but not all at the same time). I liked some punk and some ska, a little bit of hardcore, some post-rock, emo, college-rock, and eventually started liking the large jamband elephant in the room, Phish.
