- I create sewn art and artifacts based on the drawings and designs of my two children. These objects are usually bags, stuffed creatures, embroideries, and appliques, but I also knit and sew an assortment of costumes, garments, and accessories. While making a Halloween costume for my daughter when she was an infant, I rediscovered my passion for sewing. Before long my children, now four and six, were drawing, so I began using their artwork on handmade gifts for their friends. It has proven to be a great way to celebrate their imaginations.
