In her own words.
I can not remember a time in my life when I haven't had a needle in my hand. My aunt taught me how to sew clothes by hand.... I still make French seams whenever I make a skirt or blouse. I don't remember who taught me how to knit. I just seem to remember looking down one day and discovering that with two knitting needles and yarn, I could make a unique sweater. After years of laying out patterns and following knitting instructions, I now can adapt my ideas quite easily.
And how did I learn how to knit the beaded purses and wearable art I now make? One day when I was living in North Hollywood, California, I went to a craft fair and was bedazzled by a display of beaded purses. I couldn't take my eyes off them. I knew this was what I wanted to do. I did some research and discovered some information about the technique of knitting beaded bags, and I was off. Now it has become a major part of my life.
It gives me great pleasure to share my creations with you. Each one is knitted with great care and a lot of love. I also wish to share with you the feeling of serenity and tranquility that encompasses the hours I spend fashioning each of these items. There is a special quality inherent in each of my pieces. When you hold one of these purses, you can feel their warmth mold to your touch, as if they were made especially for you.
