longlongtimeago.com was started in 2002 by Rohini Chowdhury, with the aim of making available original and interesting stories for children. Rohini writes for both children and adults and has published several books. Her most recent work is a translation of the 17th century text, Banarasidas's Ardhakathanak, from the original Braj Bhasha into modern Hindi (Penguin India, 2007). Her translation of the Ardhakathanak into English, A Half Story, is soon to be published, also by Penguin India.
