ABOUT LOUVINEY
THE BUILDING: In this two-story building, the Harris Saloon was located on the first floor, while on the second floor was old Doc Stephenson's dental office. We can only imagine how many people left after a "session" with Doc Stephenson and then meandered on downstairs for a little shot of Texas "painkiller".
During the 1930's, it became home to one of the first service stations in Winnsboro, owned by Miller and Miller. Some of the original tin ceiling tiles have been reclaimed and they are visible in a section of the building.
About LouViney - The Person
(pictured left) LouViney (Mom) herself is shown here in charge of the first bottling at the winery. She kept us working hard for two days.
