Lan's wife's family has a history of diabetes. Her parents as well as one sister and three brothers have all been diagnosed with diabetes. Her brothers and sister were found to have diabetes at their early 30s. Currently all of them are on a low carb diet without using medication to control their diabetes. Few years ago, Lan's wife developed gestational pregnancy. Her doctors recommended that she should begin a medication regimen. She decided to try a more natural solution: going on a low carb diet to regulate her sugar levels. The diet was successful and since then, the couple has continued to moderate their carb and sugar consumption. Later, when they decided to start a business of their own, a low carb store was the most natural thing to do.
