CENTURY CORNISH FARMHOUSE
Lower Netherton is a traditional Cornish farmhouse of 16/17th century origins, in delightful inland countryside. It was clearly built in two stages, with the entrance and front half, facing into the main garden, added in Georgian times. The cottage-style house has random stone walls in local granite, sandstone and slate and a large, natural garden. The interior is fully-appointed to modern standards, but retains the cottage character, with stone-surrounded fireplaces and many granite features.
The surrounding pastoral countryside slopes down from the edge of the Bodmin Moors (visible through the trees from the garden) to the lovely wooded sides of the River Lynher - as attractive as the Cornish coast, but much less populated by tourists and more peaceful. The coast is never far away in Cornwall, and both the south and north coasts can be reached in less than hour.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Four bedrooms readily accommodate up to 8 people, in two double-bedded, and two twin-bedded rooms, all upstairs, with one fully-appointed bathroom, including shower over the bath.
