Ken graduated cum laude from Jacksonville University in 1981 with a BS degree in marketing, management, and economics.
In July 1994, Ken started a driver education company in Jacksonville. Within two years it was the largest driver education company in the country with over 150 locations. By 1997, the school was graduating over 100,000 students a year and in 1999, following a featured article in the Wall Street Journal, Ken sold the business to a group of investors led by Ford Motor Company and J.P. Morgan Chase and Company.
