On May 11, 2006, HHS Secretary Michael Leavitt released a Call for Proposals to each of the states’ Governors, encouraging them to submit applications for Phase III of the “Own Your Future” Long-Term Care Awareness Campaign. The goal of the Campaign is to increase awareness among the American public of the need to plan for future long-term care needs. Applications from states for the Phase III Campaign are due to HHS on July 14, 2006.
