Description
Lunch Box Pad was started in December, 1998, six months after I started collecting lunch kits. I've spent hundreds of hours compiling information and designing/updating this web site. It has gone through many incarnations and is definitely much bigger than I ever anticipated. This site is a labor of love, and is a continuing process that keeps on getting bigger and better.
Originally titled Metal Alley (this name was changed at the last minute), Lunch Box Pad started as a single page and has grown to be a complete web site with over 300 pages indexed, which contain over 150,000 words! See how the design changed from year to year. I have made every effort to include as much lunch box information as is humanly possible on one web site. Also, I think my 404 error image is pretty neat.
Lunch Box Pad is proud to have been mentioned or featured by these media sites and publications, most notably America Online, Home & Garden Television, and the Chicago Sun-Times. With all the hard work and dedication that has gone into producing this web site, it's nice when others recognize LBP as the definitive on-line resource for lunch box collectors. I have had the pleasure to give several interviews to various news outlets.
