- In 2002 I became interested in the history of the American Civil War and a year later one man in particular. Sitting with friends at a campsite at Gettysburg, Lee Houser of the Civil War Heritage Foundation, a living history group, looked at me and said, "Grumble Jones." I admit that I had no idea what he was talking about but did some research later and found that I bear some resemblance to General Jones. Since that trip I have visited the battlefield six times, most recently this year for the anniversary. I became interested in W.E. (Grumble) Jones and am excited about plans to portray him in Living History with the Civil War Heritage Foundation.
