- The Mid-South Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program has been founded to provide physically challenged children without significant cognitive delays the opportunity to participate in sports and recreation activities in the same way their able bodied peers do. All children can gain such an amazing amount of confidence and physical fitness through the personal success and the pursuit thereof that sports offer. But challenged children, in particular, have an increased need to experience these mental and physical successes. These children and their families have often been told by doctors, schools and society in general of all that the label of their diagnosis tells them they cannot do. A program like this is here to show them all that they CAN do!
