- Back in May 2003, I was pleasantly shocked to find my very first online commentary - Mammon, Clash of Civilizations and the New World Order - getting compiled alongside the works of those who had bagged the Nobel, Pulitzer, Booker and numerous other awards. I was the only unknown in that list of literati. And that feat was repeated over and again. New vistas were opened and no literary boundary seemed insuperable. People I once read about began corresponding with me, our works began to share a same-page propinquity and while this went on, I kept working as a junior sub editor at Malaysia's New Straits Times.
