In 1962, the company was sold to Armstrong Cork. Manufacturing procedures were evolving and old moulding techniques were replaced by all-new thermoplastic injection moulding.
Consumers Glass Ltd. took over the company in 1969 and decided to invest several millions of dollards in the plant's infrastructure and equipment. Starting in 1983, the company set forth to modernize its infrastructures and is investing several million dollars in high-tech equipment to automate the production departments.
In 1989, the plant was transferred to Consumers' plastics division and became known as Plax Inc. Unfortunately, the financial situation of Consumers deteriorated to the point that it had to sell all its non-strategic activity assets in plastics.
