Description
MaineJUG is Maine's JAVA User Group. This group is supported by MESDA to encourage the learning of Java, support the real world application of Java and to provide a lively focal point for the Java programming community in Maine.
Dave first wrote software in the sixties to analyse the outcomes of French elections. After he became seriously interested in software in 1982, he helped develop two widely accepted software packages for the PC platform. He has worked as a contracter since 1987 and has specialized in Java since 1997.
Dave is is a Certified Java Programmer and Developer, and the author of Using and Understanding Java Data Objects published in 2003 by Apress. He is a member of the JDO Expert Group. His current interest is Tapestry, the open source web application framework from the Apache Jakarta project.
