Our mud bricks are both strong and durable, as well as looking terrific. They are stabilised using a bitumen emulsion which is not perceptible in the finished brick. This results in a brick that actually repels water, so it is not affected by the weather. The brick can be drilled, sawn or nailed, is mid-caramel in colour and does not require sealing.
There are considerable cost savings in building a mud brick home as they are generally built as a single-skin structure and are also load bearing. This eliminates the need for a timber framework, insulation, gyprock and paint, saving you $$. Our mud bricks are also suitable for post and beam style homes. They comply with CSIRO requirements for erosion and compression, and can be used in exposed situations such as garden or courtyard walls.
