Maya Media, Inc. is issuing this statement in response to some misconceptions from readers about the operation of The Manila Mail, the only Filipino American fortnighly published in the nation's capital. .::
The Manila Mail is published by Maya Media Inc., a corporation that is duly registered in the state of Virginia since 1992. The paper itself is run by a group of professional journalists, most of them are volunteers who offer to help disseminate information to the community.
The general policy adopted by the publisher was to publish a newspaper that is independent, impartial, fair and beholden to no one except the community that it serves. Implementing this policy is the editorial board headed by the editor-in-chief. This policy has not changed through the years despite some misconceptions by certain individuals.
