- Very good question. Twiggy Ann was actually a golden retriever mix. She went to doggie heaven in December 2002 at nearly 17 years old. I started using her name online back in the early 90’s. She was born in January 1986 and was the Queen of our household the entire time. She was kidnapped once when we lived in the Philippines and she was rescued with the help of Filipino soldiers with M-16 machine guns. *laugh* REALLY and TRULY. It sounds a lot more exciting than it actually was. But that’s one of my favorite stories.
