F or 19 years, the staff at Eureka Cartography has been designing and producing maps and globes for hundreds of clients worldwide. We are specialists - if it is a map, globe or atlas we can make it for any application. For web sites, print publications, boardroom walls, in-store displays, exhibits, video...we know how to design maps that work in any target media and setting.
Our staff cartographers are computer-savvy geographers with experience in graphic design, composition, book design, printing and typography... and they know how to spell Mozambique and how to find the antipode of London. From initial concept and design through final delivery, our experience smoothes the process of mapmaking. Whether it is a single map or an entire atlas, Eureka's staff manages each step artfully.
Based in Berkeley, California, the company was one of the first commercial mapping companies in the world to automate map design and production. In-house systems have been expanded and upgraded as technology has evolved. Our PC and Macintosh production computers employ the latest desktop mapping, GIS, drawing, photo manipulation and layout software. Servers automatically backup client projects daily for protection and all archives are transferred weekly to CD-ROM for offsite storage.
