Freedom of Information Act 2000
The Freedom of Information Act gives a general right of public access to all types of ‘recorded’ information held by public authorities, details exemptions from that general right and the obligations of public authorities.
The publication Scheme
As a public authority the College is required to adopt and maintain a publication Scheme which is a guide to the information that the College is committed to publishing. The Scheme sets out the classes of information published, how the information can be accessed and whether charges will apply.
The College has adopted the Model Publication Scheme for Higher Education Institutions which has been approved by the Office of the Information Commissioner.
