Marty's Trains, Inc. has been in the business of buying and selling American Flyer trains for over 20 years. I started this business in the early 1980s, when my son and I were looking for additional items to add to our collection. A classified ad in a train magazine put me in touch with a gentleman selling off a large collection. I decided to buy it, keep the pieces we wanted, and sell off the rest. This was well before e-bay and online auctions. My son typed up a modest 4 page list on a typewriter (we didn't have a computer back then), we placed an ad in the magazine, and we waited. Soon the phone was ringing and we were in business. Happy with what they received, our new customers were soon calling for more. This early success led me to start buying more collections, put out more lists, and move the business from my garage into a small warehouse.
Today, Marty's Trains, Inc. offers one of the largest selections of American Flyer trains available anywhere. Our (much larger) warehouse is jam packed with everything American Flyer - sets, locomotives, rolling stock, track, accessories and parts. You name it, we have it. All used items are graded according to strict TCA and TTOS grading standards, and all our locomotives carry a limited 60 day warranty for parts and labor.† Although we primarily deal in American Flyer, if you have trains to sell we buy all makes and models, including American Flyer, Lionel, S Helper, Downs/Rusi, American Models, etc. at the highest possible prices.
