It seems from the moment I was born, I was always trying to see how far I could go, what I could get away with or what adventure I could take on. One of my earliest memories is of being around 4 years old and taking off up the hill in front of my house on my trike bike. I felt no fear, just the compelling need to see what was on the other side.
I actually made it past the mailbox at the top of the hill, across the street and down to the busy intersection at the main street of our little town. The feeling of my father rapidly escorting me home has been etched into my psyche as well, as he half chuckled a neighbor made a comment, probably about having to keep an eye on me.
A little kid with really big dreams, that was me. I wanted to be famous and a movie star and go to Egypt to look in the Valley of the Kings for more kings. From a tiny town in North East Ohio, New York was considerably closer to me than the Nile Valley. So I decided on a career in broadcasting via art school, a rather youthful pregnancy and a 5 year hitch as a pharmacy technician among a myriad of other exciting human growth experiences. Can you see a pattern?
