About Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach is divided into four sections. These include the Hill Section, Sand Section, The Village, Tree Section, Gas Lamp Section, Manhattan Heights, East Manhattan Beach.
The Strand: Homes along the strand are grander, and more expensive, than most anywhere else. Close enough to the ocean to see the breaking surf, this is one of the most desirable neighborhoods.
Gaslamp District: Slightly larger lots, the gas lamps give this neighborhood an old-time feeling.
Tree Section: Family friendly section of town, allowing a bit of a yard as well as easy access to the beach. In fact, it is within walking distance with no major streets to cross on the way. Lots of trees, as well as tree names for the streets, characterize this section of the city. It is further divided into the following area.
Hill Section: Lavish homes sit on large lots, with beautiful views being available from either side. The west side offers views of the ocean, while the east side offers views of the city and mountains.
Manhattan Village: This is a gated community. Private and beautiful, it offers three separate kinds of homes, as well as two pools and numerous spas. The lack of any outside traffic makes this a quiet place to live.
The Sand Section: Expanding from 1st St to 46th St, this area of Manhattan Beach is where beach goers tend to live.
