Title

Marine Corps Association

Description

At Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on 25 April 1913, Marines of the 2d Provisional Brigade formed the Marine Corps Association (MCA). John A. Lejeune, then a lieutenant colonel, headed its first executive committee. The purpose of the MCA was defined then and continues to drive the Association into the 21st century.

These are the guiding principles of the Association, and the Marine Corps Gazette and Leatherneck magazines continue to be the flagship publications that achieve these objectives.

For all who have earned and worn the eagle, globe, and anchor, the Marine Corps Association is the professional organization for all Marines—active duty, Reserve, retired, and Marine veterans. The MCA understands and identifies with the sacrifices made and the services rendered as a Marine to this great country. Once a Marine, always a Marine!
