As President of the Monroe County Bar Association and a long-time member, I am honored to lead this association with its rich tradition that spans more than a century. Today, 2,200 members of the legal community are members of the MCBA and volunteer their time on over 40 committees and sections - all in pursuit to achieve legal excellence in our community. Additionally, the MCBA has been at the forefront of implementing ground-breaking programs such as the Deaf Equal Access Fund (DEAFund) – a program providing financial assistance to attorneys who hire sign language interpreters, and announcing Attorney Advertising Guidelines – to help foster respect for the legal profession and serve as a resource to the public when selecting an attorney for their legal needs. The MCBA is a wealth of information and I encourage you to explore our website and utilize some, or all, of the resources available at your fingertips.
