I am 45 years old, graduated from college 24 years ago, and have three daughters ages 24, 20, and 14. When I commented that my hair is “salt and pepper”, one daughter quickly said, “It’s more salt than pepper, Dad”. I am middle-aged.
I’ve been married to the same amazing woman for nearly 25 years (or, as my girls have said, “Almost a quarter-of-a-century!). We met in college (Oklahoma State) at an OSU-OU football game. She’s still a petite blonde, still a lot of fun to be with, and if you cut her, she still bleeds orange and black.
One of my favorite descriptions of the McElroy household is from my 14-year-old’s blog: “My insane mother is talking about how dogs went to space… My goodness. I live in a house of loons.”
