Christine was born and raised in such exotic New Zealand locales as Otahuhu and Papatoetoe, Auckland where she pursued a career in teaching. In 1977, while snowed in at a mountain retreat, she awoke from an awesome dream in which she conceived the MEE Family characters and stories.
