MeinkeToy was started in 1992 by me, Debra Meinke. I received a BFA in Fibers from the University of Wisconsin, began making art pillows and tassels for local interior designers and galleries, and soon expanded my line nation-wide.
In January 2000, after numerous requests from other fiber artists, I opened this online outlet for tassel making supplies and hard to find fiber art items. I also teach and lecture on tassel making, silk paper making and related techniques.
