- Recipient of Oregon Ethics in Business Award 2006
Mentor Graphics has received the 2006 Oregon Ethics in Business Awards. The awards honor those organizations and individuals who have demonstrated ethical business practice in the workplace, the marketplace, the environment, and the community. Ethical responsibility, integrity and social and environmental stewardship all factor into the award decision. According to the award criteria, "the recipients of these awards have, by act and example, gone beyond the expected to achieve excellence in ethical business practices". The Awards program is sponsored by the Portland Business Journal, Willamette University, and the Rotary Club of Portland.
- Mentor Graphics Signs Agreement with LUMS
Mentor Graphics Corporation signed an agreement with Lahore University of management Sciences (LUMS), to sponsor a three year Mentor Graphics Chair for Embedded Systems. Mentor Graphics will give a grant of 10800$ to LUMS over the next three years, for the project. The purpose of this cooperation is to help strengthen the liaisons between software industry and academia. Moreover, Mentor Graphics will help LUMS with designing and improving the computer sciences curriculum.
