Description

2002: A new kind of web analytics service is proposed by Laurent Bousis. The focus is on collecting more accurate web metrics, presenting them in better and easier to use reports and applying unique real-time web mining techniques to find hidden relationships between non-linked pages. Development is started shortly thereafter.

2003: July marks the end of the initial development phase for the web analytics service backend and the online reporting tool. The name MetriServe is chosen for branding and an extensive testing period is started during which the system is stress-tested in real-world situations.

2004: In September the service is officially launched after more than a year of testing and refining and MetriServe starts providing services to its first customers.
