Description
Classic Mesquite Flooring is a unique hardwood flooring grade with its own special characteristics. Mesquite trees grow in harsh conditions and most trees contain cracks that run through the center of the trunk. This produces specific types of character only found in mesquite. These characters include; sap pockets, worm holes, wind shakes (cracks), knots, bark inclusions and mineral streaks. The overall effect of having varied characteristics along with clear areas is quite stunning. Classic Mesquite has beautiful grain that surrounds these characteristics. The result is a natural and uniquely beautiful floor.
Our Classic floor is a highly graded strip or plank which has been carefully cut to contain the character within. These voids are most often filled with epoxy, which helps to increase the stability of the flooring, enhance the contrast of the void and provide for a smooth surface which is easy to clean.
