About Microsmith

Microsmith was created in 1978 to market utility software for the "hot" computers of the day; the Apple II, Osborne and Kaypro. Had we been just a little more imaginative, we might be known today as the inventors of the TSR (terminate and stay ready) program. Borland's SideKick got that fame.

Except for a 10 year distraction from 1982 to 1991 called Smith/Boehm Associates (Cincinnati's largest and best training firm until sold in 1992), Microsmith has provided custom training, documentation and software to small and large companies in the Cincinnati and Dayton area, with occasional assignments around and outside of the country.

Founded in 1982 and sold in 1991, Smith/Boehm Associates was Greater Cincinnati’s largest and leading computer training organization providing training for companies such as Procter & Gamble, General Electric and AT&T locally, nationally and in various projects, internationally. Smith/Boehm also provided custom documentation services and database programming using dBase, Access and Paradox.
