When Sarah Cannon was diagnosed with cancer, so was her beloved character "Minnie Pearl." That’s why an organization founded in 1987 took The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation for a name four years later. Our mission is to further cancer research and education for the people of Middle Tennessee and beyond.

Through numerous community activities and fund-raising events, the Foundation funds innovative research that is making life better for thousands of cancer patients.
