Title

Michigan Informix Users Group

Description

Founded in about 1992, the Michigan Informix User Group (MIUG) meets is a non profit organization that was developed to meet the needs of the Michigan Informix Community. We meet once a quarter, usually in the IBM office in Southfield. The meetings are generally held from about 4-6 PM. There is no charge to attend the meetings and food and beverages are provided. To receive meeting information, see our homepage or subscribe to our E-Newsletter. See our policies and procedures for more details about the organization. Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions.

Meeting Format and Timing

The MIUG meetings generally follow the same format. They start with gathering and networking from 3:30 - 4:00 PM. The main presentation starts at 4:00 PM and includes Informix and third party products and case studies. Following the main presentation, we will discuss MIUG issues, give an update on Informix products, and have a round table and Q&A session. When possible, we will have local MIUG members give brief technical presentations. There will generally be an Informix representative on hand to answer your questions and issues. The meetings will adjourn by 6:00 or 6:30.

Leadership

MIUG was co-founded by Ron Flannery, a long-time dedicated Informix user and consultant, member of the board of directors for the International Informix Users Group (IIUG), and author of Informix Handbook. The MIUG has a board of directors that includes Glenn Jacobson, Sundar Ramanathan, Jeff Kloiber, and Stefanie Vario. MIUG strongly supports the IIUG, which works hard for the worldwide Informix community.
