Description
MonkeyBrains is a small ISP started by me, Rudy Rucker, Jr.
Alex Menendez and I do most of system administration. Rafael Nunez takes care of the hardware and bulids servers. MonkeyBrains is a fun project utilizing my web & admin & network & design skills obtained by trial and error over the past few years. These skills enable me to set up new and exciting services for web sites. MonkeyBrains aims to provide flexible, affordable Internet service that will grow into a small community of monkeys, monkeys that will pick those annoying bugs out of each other's fur.
I've worked for large companies, start-ups, and other home-grown ideas (like this one). Large companies are too restrictive and start-ups are usually run by incompetent non-technical entrepreneurs. Avoiding corporate red-tape and carpet-bagging start-ups, I've found happiness working for myself; moreover, this fits my D.I.Y. philosophy: Figure out what interests you, and the do it yourself.
