Emerging in 1919 the company was a partnership between Frank Pratt & Bert Gelsthorpe, selling and servicing bycycles and motor cycles.Over the years the business diversified into a major Peugeot car dealership, an engineering workshop, electricity generation and property.
Since then the reins haved passed from Frank and Bert to John Gelsthorpe, (Berts son) and now to Richard Gelsthorpe, (Johns son).
It's not often you can find a business that has lasted and progressed for over 80 years but is also still owned and managed by the family that started it so many years ago.
