Hello! My name is Peter Moulding and I am from Preston, Lancashire, England. I created this website because I had some useful data to share - all Moulding civil registration indexes from 1837 to 1904 for births, marriages and deaths. These are essential for all family historians with ancestors named Moulding and will save you hours of perusing tiny indistinct records. It is a good job I did this when I did because my eyes are much worse now and I would not be able to do it again.
Some old Moulding wills I have seen are based on "share and share alike" and I was brought up this way too. So I hope you will do likewise. Converting your findings from pen and paper notes to word processed documents may take some time but it is worth it in the end. You then have a much more permanent record that is easier for you to read and use. If you were to send your files to me to put on the website, other researchers would also benefit. Please note I am not an expert and I will not do your research for you. I will try to help if I can but do not expect me to go out of my way. I am not some nutcase obsessed by tracking down every Moulding record available. Some people seem to think that they will quickly find out about their ancestors now the Internet is here, but it takes a lot of hard work. Most research is done in libraries and record offices and it will be many years before all those records are available online. But the process of discovering how your ancestors lived is interesting and enjoyable, so by doing your research for you I would be depriving you of much fun and self-discovery.
